In the following article, Disney plans to revamp their amusement parks and modernize their infamous history through their new product "MyMagic+." Essentially what "MyMagic+" is a really essentially a modern way to open hotel rooms, pay for items, essentially everything you need for your stay was in a compacted wristband. The point was to modernized the digital infrastructure of Disney and "catch up" with the times. After reading the article and the rich history- of Disney- the question arises to the point of why? Why was their a need to change the infrastructure if it worked fine before? Along with that- where was the training for this new initiative? Along with this- the main thesis I construct is why change if the system isn't broken? Of course you want to improve but with such an Iconic symbol such as Disney- you must tread lightly. In the article- the upper management fails to convey the reasons and cost of the new project to their team and saw some back lash because of this. Communication, as we all know is the key to successful and especially when taking on such a venture as "MyMagic+"- effective communication is essential which is something the project seemed to lack.
